Morgan Lewis-TMI is a unique joint venture in Japan formed by Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and TMI Associates. This is the first joint venture of its kind between major U.S. and Japanese law firms. Morgan Lewis-TMI is an equal partnership designed to leverage the strengths of both firms in serving our clients.
With more than 1,400 lawyers in 22 offices around the world, Morgan Lewis has long been a leader in representing some of the largest Japanese corporations in their U.S. investments. TMI, the sixth largest firm in Japan, has also been a pioneer in meeting its clients' global needs. Through Morgan Lewis-TMI, both firms will combine their expertise and resources in cross-border matters focused on Japan.
The joint venture is a registered association in Japan, commonly referred to as a "GKJ," and is a partnership among lawyers of each firm. This unique structure allows our clients to benefit from cost-effective advice from any lawyer of either firm.
